Melbourne has once again been named the world’s most liveable city by the Economist Intelligence Unit’s annual Liveability Index.

Taking out top spot for the seventh year in a row, Melbourne received maximum scores for healthcare, education and transport and well as high scores for culture and safety.

Two other Australian cities, Adelaide and Perth, made it into the top ten but Sydney, previously a top ten finisher, dropped down into eleventh spot.
